The extension reads job listings from any site. Here's how it works across different types of pages.
On most job pages, JobPhantom works in one click. Browse to a standalone job listing, click the extension, and it reads the job description and generates your resume and cover letter. This covers the majority of job boards and company career pages, including Greenhouse, Workday, Lever, and most direct company sites.
Some job boards display listings as an inline panel rather than a standalone page. LinkedIn is the most common example: when you click a job in the left column, the description loads in a panel on the right rather than navigating to a new URL.
On these pages, use the selection method instead. Left-click and drag to select the job description text, then right-click and choose "Generate resume." JobPhantom reads the selected text and generates your application from that. You can also use this method to add extra context to a question before generating an answer.

| Workday | One click |
| Lever | One click |
| Indeed | One click |
| Company career pages | One click |
| Select text, right-click | |
| Any other site | One click or select text |
